Pastels are a new medium for me, so I don't have a lot of stuff right now, but I am enjoying it more than a lot of other mediums. It's quick, you can smooth it out and it looks like airbrush and it's a lot of fun to work with outdoors. I've only tried a few brands of soft pastel, some more buttery than others and every manufacturer has at least one or two colors in a set you've got to have. Paper surface is vast for different effects, you can even use sandpaper. So I'll be updating this page later. I've used soft and hard pastel on most of these, and oil pastel on the girl with yellow ball.
